Idol Gives Back charity partners

Which organizations partner with American Idol on the 2008 “Idol Gives Back” campaign? The TV special was broadcast on April 9, but the donation campaign continues through May 31. To date, about $70-million has been raised. The program is operated by the Idol Gives Back Foundation.
The 6 organizations who are recipients of the donations in 2008 are:
1. Children’s Defense Fund - Working to protect and lift children out of poverty.
2. The Children’s Health Fund - Providing health care to under-served children.
3. The Global Fund - Fights AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria around the world.
4. Make it Right - Brad Pitt’s campaign to build houses for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
5. Malaria No More - Global programs to treat and prevent malaria.
6. Save the Children- Assisting underserved children around the world.
