Having two children who have/are studying abroad, I can only attest to the value of the experience. I would urge every college student to study abroad. In today's global marketplace, it is extremely important to have a global perspective and to develop a level of comfort with travel, communication, and work on the international stage. You will only increase your value to prospective employers. And who knows, with jobs increasingly being created by international firms in the U.S., you may be working for someone from another country.
