World Hope International (WHI) is a faith based relief and development organization alleviating suffering and injustice through education, enterprise and community health. WHI (Alexandria, VA) is working in over 30 countries worldwide in programs such as:
* Anti-Trafficking
* Hope for Children
* Hope Corps (Volunteering)
* Community Orphan Trust
* Education
* HIV/AIDS
* Microfinance
* Rural Development
Over 14,000 partners, volunteers and staff have worked with WHI since its founding in 1996. Programs are developed with the cooperation of local faith based or other organizations and individuals that share similar goals.
The Hope For Children program sponsors projects in 15 countries with nearly 2,500 children sponsored individually as well as thousands attending World Hope sponsored schools.
Micro-finance programs are working in 5 countries with nearly 50,000 participants … empowering the poor with a means to provide self-sustaining economic stability.
Programs have helped victims of forced prostitution and providing assistance in the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
The Limbs of Hope program provides prosthetics to others, many who are victims of armed conflicts in developing nations.
Countries assisted include Sierra Leone, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Haiti, South Africa, Mozambique, Croatia, Ecuador, Cambodia, Philippines and many other countries.
