Is America going in the right direction?

Is America going in the right direction?Asked about the general course of America, 69% of Americans believe America is going in the wrong direction according to a Harris Poll of Americans released in February, 2008. But 76% of Americans said their personal lives are going in the right direction.

On the opposite side, 23% of Americans believe America is going in the right direction.

The results are largely consistent across income levels … 20% of adults with income less than $35,000 and 23% of adults with income above $100,000 say America is headed in the right direction.

Looking at their personal lives … 76% of Americans say their life is going in the right direction … 17% say their life is seriously on the wrong track.

Looking at the response by income, 88% of adults with income over $100,000 said their lives were going in the right direction compared to 63% of adults who had income less than $35,000.

Topics of concern to many Americans are the economy/jobs, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, rising costs of health care, illegal immigration, security in the USA, taxes and other concerns as mentioned on this previous post.
