Refugee Relief International helps victims of armed conflicts

Refugee Relief International (RRI), based in Woodside, California, was founded in 1974 as a nonprofit to provide medical care to the less fortunate people around the world. Most of the volunteer doctors, nurses and medics of RRI are military veterans who have experience operating in dangerous environments where other humanitarian agencies will not go.

Refugee Relief International has sent teams to Bosnia, Central America and Southeast Asia (Burma) … providing humanitarian assistance to victims of armed conflicts, particularly to people oppressed by tyrannical regimes.

From 1995 - 1999, RRI has conducted 10 relief missions along the Thai - Burmese (Burma - Myanmar) border to treat victims of landmines, often travelling long distances through dense jungle to provide medical services in remote villages.

RRI has assisted in Nicaragua and also in Tanzania for the displaced refugees of the Rwanda civil war and for the under-served in Tanzania.

You can find info on donations or sponsoring a specific mission on their website.
