New York Foundation helping Iraqi children & families

The Tom Deierlein Foundation was founded by Tom Deierlein and his associates to initially focus on helping the children of Iraq. Tom was seriously shot in 2006 while serving in Iraq as an American Civil Affairs Officer, but developed a strong desire to help the Iraqi kids.
The New York-based Foundation is collecting and distributing shoes, clothes, school supplies, vitamins, toys, medical supplies and basic necessities to children and families in war torn Baghdad.
Donations will be distributed by USA military personnel and local grassroots organizations, institutions or individuals in Iraq.
In a country where few charitable organizations can operate, hundreds of needy Iraqi families have received assistance since the Foundation was formed in 2006.
