The Kurdish-American Education Society (KAES) was formed as a California nonprofit in 1997. The organization works to advance education and science in the Kurdish culture and to create a cultural understanding between the Kurdish and American people.

KAES works with American-Kurds to educate Americans about the history and current situation of Kurds.

Members are urged to participate in local, national and international events that promote Kurdish rights in Iraq, Turkey, Iran, Syria and around the world.
