Many athletes from Mexico, Central and South America have become very popular in the USA. A few of the more popular sports stars who have competed in America are listed below.
Baseball players from Central America and South America have especially done very well in the American Major Leagues. Soccer and basketball players are popular also. Manu Ginobili (basketball) and Lorena Ochoa (golf) are two of the most popular non-baseball stars in the USA from this region.
