Tuberculosis aid to North Korea by American foundation

The Eugene Bell Foundation (based in Washington DC) is a non-profit dedicated to providing relief to North Korea. For over 100 years, Rev. Eugene Bell and four generations of his descendants have worked to provide aid to the sick and suffering in North Korea.
Since 1997, Eugene Bell has focused primarily on fighting tuberculosis, North Korea’s number one medical problem. In 2005, the North Korean Ministry of Public Health officially asked Eugene Bell to expand its support of local hospitals.
American business groups and individual donoars are also cooperting with Eugene Bell in sending medical and agriculturalĀ suppliesĀ to North Korea. TB medication and equipment is currently supplied to over 40 North Korean hospitals and care centers.
Recently, South Korea (Republic of Korea) has also provided funding to the Eugene Bell foundation.
